As the French Presidential election draws closer and as the effects of triggering Article 50 become felt, it is clear that Europe is on course to break up or to start a rebirth of a pro-Europe movement. Key questions remain to be answered as the EU faces a critical crossroad:

  • Will this lead to the break-up or make-up of the EU?
  • What are the spillover effects to the rest of Europe, the UK in the run up to Brexit and to China? What should you expect?

To discuss these questions, the European bank SEB is pleased to present Robert Bergqvist, SEB’s Chief Economist, Sir Roger Gifford, former Lord Mayor of the City of London and Chair of the City of London Green Finance Initiative, and Sean Yokota, SEB’s Head of Asia Strategy, to examine the political turbulence that stems from the EU’s uncertain future, including the issues facing EU and the UK from Brexit and the UK government triggering Article 50.
