The Chamber’s Hospitality & Leisure Focus Group invites members to join Jenna QianCEO of Destination Marketing at Ctrip, to learn more about what’s happening behind the travel.

According to China Tourism Academy (CTA), Chinese domestic tourists totalled about five billion in 2017. Another report, jointed released by CTA and Ctrip in March, revealed that Chinese outbound tourists exceeded 130 million. What are the most popular destinations? What do Chinese tourists need while travelling at home and abroad?

As the largest online travel platform in China, Ctrip studies 50TB of data generated daily by its 300 million users. Jenna will share insights gained from the data and shed light on how to understand and analyse demographics, demands and travel behaviours of Chinese consumers, as well as show the travel trends.

Speaker Introduction

Jenna Qian

CEO of Destination Marketing, Ctrip

Jenna helps promote travel destinations around the globe to increase their awareness and number of visitors. Before her current role, she was CEO of Qunar’s Travel Guides Business, and Head of Communications and Investor Relations for Qunar from 2011 to 2015.

Prior to joining Qunar, Jenna had worked for a number of leading global communications consultancies such as Hill & Knowlton, Fleishman Hillard in both New York and Beijing. Earlier in her career, Jenna worked as an investment banking analyst in JP Morgan and management consultant in Booz Allen Hamilton.

Jenna holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University and a Certificate in Public Relations from New York University.
