Unipart Logistics requires a marketing specialist to support a growing business development team. We are seeking a creative candidate with previous (preferably B2B) marketing experience to support the key marketing requirements of the company predominantly in China but with responsibility for supporting regional markets including Korea and Japan.

Marketing content and brand management:Key to supporting brand development and sales teas is the management of materials. The marketing coordinator is expected to proactively manage and develop a catalogue of multi-media materials including brochures, presentation templates, photographs, case studies, films, business cards and conference materials. A prioritised development / improvement list should be managed and the marketing coordinator is also expected to support ad-hoc requests such as physical site branding and materials for client bids. The marketing coordinator is responsible for ensuring all outbound materials match our brand guidelines and liaising with central UK marketing teams to ensure latest materials are captured, localised and shared as appropriate.

Social media and PR: Manage and significantly improve the presence of the company through local and international social media channels in line with company policy. This includes the basic training and tracking of all social media users in China for compliance.

Marketing / BD events management: Identification, qualification, approval, planning, execution and feedback of events. The objective is to ensure that a varied events calendar is maintained and executed to best position our sales team (and others as required) to develop leads and grow our brand. This should be managed with knowledge of the success / failure of previous events and with the support of the wider teams. Basic estimation of event management costs for sign off is required. Events can be internal (i.e. organised tours and workshops) or external.

Advertising and media: Develop innovative and cost-effective strategies for advertising the company. The marketing coordinator is expected to build this in line with company sales strategy and in collaboration with the sales team. This can include but is not limited to:

·      Event sponsorship / speaking
·      Advertising
·      Media & Advertorials

Partner account management:Act as the key contact for the management of our partner organisations such as the China-Britain Business Council and British Chamber of Commerce. Management includes the administration of these accounts, payments, memberships etc. but also ensuring we get the most from them and assessing and growing the benefits and results of our various partnerships. It is also expected you will support the assessment of potential new partner accounts to grow our network further. 

Department performance reporting:Support the sales and marketing reporting through creation of weekly and monthly reports.

Market Intelligence (MI):Support sales teams when required to gather, collate and present information to a range of stakeholders in the business. Research assignments will be filtered and prioritised into the department from several parties and may include:

·      Market sector research
·      Customer research
·      Competitor research
·      Industry & technology trends

MI will be a key part of this role and will require you to liaise with parties in our global business as well as external information sources (from our partner accounts for example). 

Internal communications: Support Ad-Hoc and regular internal communications including newsletters and some events support as required.

Support additional projects as assigned

Skills and Experience 

Preferably 5+ years in a marketing role
Graphic design capability including Adobe Photoshop / Adobe InDesign preferred
Fluent in spoken and written English
Able to manage and prioritise workload
Experience of social media account management
Experience of events management preferable
